What is the average length of stay?


While there is no minimum length of stay, most people stay 6 to 8 months.




How do I get residence at Gateway?


You can start by completing the online application located on our website. It will be automatically submitted to us and we will reach out to you within 2 hours of receiving the application. Alternativley, you can call us at (860) 215-2036 with any questions and room availability.




What are the costs to stay at Gateway?


Single Bedrooms: $150.00/per week **Security of $150.00/per week will be required prior to move in. This security will be refunded to the resident upon move out as per the Rental Agreement. **The first weeks rent will include an additional $100.00 fee. This fee is non-refundable and applies towards the general use of provided toiletries, linens, laundry services and other essentials that are provided by the house.




What is included in the weekly fee?


Along with the accountability, support, and structure Gateway provides, the monthly fee includes: all utilities including premium cable/internet with lightning fast Wi-Fi, cable TV in common areas, landline phone, laundry facilities and detergent, house supplies (cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, and body wash), and urine screenings. Upon arrival, each resident will be given a brand new sheet set, pillow and comforter.




Do you have naloxone overdose prevention resources?


Yes! All residents, as well as staff, are trained for overdose reversal with naloxone.




Do you have to go to treatment to enter into recovery residences?


Not necessarily. In most cases, Gateway Recovery House is provided to people successfully discharging from a treatment program. We have seen situations where people need to enter recovery residences without attending treatment. We will assess each person to ensure they are in the proper level of care.
